Covid-19 and the Right to adequate Food in Uganda by Tuhairwe Herman

On 30 March 2020, President Yoweri Museveni, in a bid to suppress the spread of the Corona virus in Uganda announced a partial lockdown of the country for 14 days. At the end of the 14 days, on 14 April 2020, the President extended the lockdown for another 21 days. He explained that such a lockdown was necessary to consolidate existing efforts in combatting the spread of the virus, most especially in following up persons who had been in contact with individuals infected with the virus.
